Anushka Sharma was born on May 1, 1988 in Ayodhya Uttar Pradesh, India to Kumar Sharma and Ashima Sharma. Her father is a colonel-retd. Her mother is a homemaker. The elder brother of Anushka Karnesh Sharma served in Merchant Navy and now is an independent film maker. Anushka has graduated from Army School Bangalore. Mount Carmel College Bangalore gave her a bachelor of Arts. Anushka Sharma has a master of Arts in Economics. Anushka Sharma didn't want to become an actress. Instead She wanted to turn into a fashion model or writer. Anushka was moved to Mumbai following her graduation, where she enrolled with Elite Model Management. Style consultant Prasad Bidapa groomed Anushka. Anushka began modelling in the year 2017 at Wendell Rodricks Les Vamps Show. She was also selected to model the Spring Summer 2007 by Rodricks. Anushka Sharma has been involved in several brand campaigns after her Lakme Fashion Week debut. This includes campaigns in the name of Fiat Palio and Fiat Whisper Nathella Jewelry. Anushka Sharma, in addition to her modeling career, enrolled in an acting school, and began to perform in films. In 2008 Anushka Sharma was the first actress to make her debut in the movie Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi with Shah Rukh Khan. In her screen test she refused to do an unplanned test and instead took the day off to practice. Later on she was a part of three movies for Yash Raj Films. In one of them, she was the young bride to a middle-aged man (the part Shah Rukh Khan was playing). The film was hit on the box office and was the second-highest-grossing movie of 2008. Anushka was a part of the cast along with Shahid Kapoor Meiyang Chang and Vir Das in the movie Badmash Company. The film received mixed praises. Anushka was also seen with Ranveer in the film "Band Baaja Baaraat,' where she played the role of a Punjabi middle-class girl who launched her own venture. The movie received a great reception and was a huge success. Anushka was able to complete the three film contract with Yash Raj Films.
